GUEST LECTURE BY SHIREEN MOOSVI
Renowned professor of the Aligarh Muslim University, Ms Moosvi is the author of a number of books and written extensive papers on economic, gender, social, administrative and demographic history. She will present her Research Paper on ‘Legend of Ankarkali’.
The character of Anarkali has always haunted the historians, in particular, and the people in general, with a strong feeling of suspense, mystery, awe and a passionate romance. Was Anarkali a mythical character or not?

GUEST LECTURE BY NARAYANI GUPTA
NARAYANI GUPTA is Professor of History at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She has done extensive research on Delhi and has authored several books like 'Delhi Between Two Empires: 1803-1931, Society, Government and Urban Growth', 'Great Monuments of India', 'The Delhi Omnibus', 'Delhi- Then and Now' and many others. She is also the Consultant at the Documentation Centre at INTACH.
She will speak on the legends surrounding Delhi.
